Barr Technologies has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry allowing for a deep understanding on the specific needs within internal, customer, and public communications. The systems that have been created are specifically designed to enable staff to focus on productivity and clearly communicate with customers instead of tedious data entry and company management within aging custom built back end systems and separate stand alone systems. The design of our systems are architected to allow the the technology departments that used to keep those multiple systems up and running to focus on the enhancing the unique needs of the company and to leverage the data within Barr Technologies systems in new and innovative ways.
Laconia was developed in 2016 and was the first step to this unification of company communication and increased productivity; it is the core that all other systems communicate through. Laconia was born out of the necessity for a highly integrated, modern way to blend and enhance separate systems that off the shelf solutions cannot provide and without the high costs of running an entire software development team for a single system.
Laconia allows the teams that used to create and manage the Intranet to create new tools and unique solutions specifically for the needs of the companies while leveraging simple API calls for all data access and management.
Freedom was then created in 2021 to create a public interface for the internal data that is already in Laconia. It removes the complexities of putting in change requests for website updates and allows internal staff to securely have much more power to control the public information in a timely manor. Freedom can power multiple websites including short term event sites or lead generation sites without the need of additional costs and the ability for staff to quickly build and deploy changes.
Keene was created in 2023 to unify and solve on-site digital signage frustrations. The core design of Keene has been to cost effectively unify environmentally friendly room reservation information as well as a simple way to ensure that content is current across hundreds of screens across multiple locations. Keene strives to reduce staff time, promote company services, and engage customers.
